Not only is concept art a super competitive field but Concept art for games specifically is the most competitive in the entire field of all of games and animation. That's what EVERY gamer nerd artist wants to do.

You should focus on a school that offers the skills required not only for concept art but for general illustration. You want a broad base of skills.

Most concept artists don't start out as a concept artist, they work their way up through other departments.

www.conceptart.org is the best resource out there for info in this subject - hit up the 'it's finally finished' section, that's your competition.(art and video games) good schools.?
I would consider attending the art institute, iv always heard their gaming program was amazing. You might also consider graphic design as a main study. I went to the art institute in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Im sure there are plenty of other good schools that office these courses I would just do your research! Good luck to you!
