It may be possible if you have skills (or are willing to develop skills) in 3D modelling such as Maya or Studio Max.
Competition is fierce for these positions though and all potential candidates must have a considerable and impressive porfolio to even get a foot in the door.|||I don't know much about game art, but if it is computer aided design (CAD) there are classes. Not to mention that becoming a good illistrator/artist can be taught. Take some classes, you'll get better!|||Take art classes.or u can do a daily scetch every day.|||You don't have to be a great artist to design games. Most designers have graphic artists they work with. If you have the concepts for games, that is all you need to get started. The graphic artist has to follow your discression.
