How can i do game but in a pop art style?

For my art project we get to choose what topic we want. i like gameing, as in nintendo and sony etc

and i was thinking characters from some games can be involved like spyro, crash bandicoot, sonic, mario, pokemon etc from different platforms.

but i need a style/artist i can do with work in. pop art is one of my favourite styles of art ..

if anyone has got ideas or advice about how i can make it work please tell
