What A-Levels/Qualifications would I need to become a video games tester?

I want a career being a video games tester and I was just wondering what A-levels would I need? I guess I'd need an A-level in computing and maths, but any other ideas? I think that Art would be good towards being a video games tester but I'm rubbish at that and I know I would fail, but I'm really good at computing and maths. What other A-levels would I have to complete?|||Go to a game testing jobs board and see what the recruiters are asking for.

To increase your chances of getting a career game testing position...

become familiar with what game testing is, terminology, etc and build out a good cover letter and resume.

Get some good experience and be able to talk about what you did in with the knowledge and terminology you have learned about Game Testing.

Become familiar with the basics of game testing so after you land a position, you can keep it.

(there are some companies that will hire 10 game testers knowing that after 2-3 days, they will know the best of the group and will lay off the rest. It is cheaper than doing a deep interview process)

Remember, there will be several hundred people applying to any game testing position and you have to get your resume to the top for a phone interview and past the face to face interview so you can get the position and show that you know what it is and that you know what you need to do to become a Game tester.

Have someone in the Game Industry review your resume and cover letter. Get someone who was a game tester or even better, someone who has hired game testers.

To break into the industry, Game Testing is the easiest and you can get some education now.

Since most publishers require that you sign an NDA, you won't be able to work in the industry until you are 18.

ALSO:

Never pay for a job or job list.

Never pay for a subscription to find a game testing job. They are usually scams.

To see if they are... Email them and see how long takes them to respond to a specific question.

Has their education ever been used by some company involved in the industry?

How industry connected are they?

Do they have a phone number to contact them?

Is there site just a bunch of hyping up game testing? Be careful...|||It's a bit of a precise job to want to be in. Why don't you generalize into the general gaming market and decide that later because that is an incredibly difficult and rare job to get. If your not particularly academic then you could take Media Studies A-Level otherwise I advise taking some base subjects such as English or Maths because you will find it very difficult to get a job if thats all your specialized in.|||what few of those position exist need no education - teenagers who are addicted to video games would probably make the best game testers
