Which of these 2 career paths have are better; Game art and Design or Animation.?

Im planning to start college and im interested in both of these fields of study, but I want to know which of these two will give me the best opportunity for growth in the future?|||You should also look at the 40 years down the road end of it too.

What career will have the best potential for financial rewards for me and my Family in the future.

I'm thinking Design Animation would have the best of both worlds.|||Considering that only 2% percent of people that go into those fields actualy work in those fields I would get a reality check and get a degree in something that is a workable field first then work on that type of career.|||all are very competitive these days. Hard to say which will be better in 5 years when you are done. suggest you take your basics (Math, English, History, Govt, Sciences, phys ed, art appreciation courses the first two semesters, and go over to visit the area where other students are studying these fields - try to get a student job in the labs - you will learn so much from the other students in

higher levels, and that will help you decide before you enroll for classes in your major. you will learn which is the best teacher and try to get his/her class, how to manage your time when you have to take labs along with classroom time in a course. remember that for every hour of classroom time you spend in any art class, y ou will spend at least 3 hours outside time on projects and assignments. if you can't get a job on campus in this area, try to get a part time job at a company that does this kind of work - even if it is sweeping the floors. you will be amazed at what you will pick up, and you will meet people who will mentor you. It also looks good on your resume to have worked anywhere that your field is practiced.

good luck.|||Try enrolling in a course with broader scope before specializing. That way, you'll have better chance of getting a job.
