A ps2 game called Iko was considered art. Wikipedia it, its a lovely game.|||Certain games, like Bioshock or Metal Gear Solid (all of them) can be considered art due to their similarities to movies.





Other games like Braid, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Katamari Damacy or Okami can be considered art due to the varied style of gameplay or the outlandish graphics.





So yeah, video games are an art form.|||Yes. However, they criteria for judging video games as art isn't clearly defined. You can say a game has artful cinematics, or artful storytelling. I suppose an artful game would be one that expertly blends storytelling, interactivity, visual art, and music.
