What do you call people that design the covers for video games?

In my art class we have to pick 2 artists that inspire us and the problem is the only type of art I like is like the covers of video games (such as final fantasy), but I dont know any artists who do that...





So do you know what theyre called? And any artists of that type?

They can have free lance contracts or be employees of the creative agency that is managing the packaging and marketing for the launch of the said video game. if there is a specific video game cover you like go to the editors website and wheck the copyright of the product you should find or the agency name or the freelance name.|||They are made by the "Lead Artist" on a video game team. A game is made by a team of people that each have their own specialty. Programing, Artist, Production among others. Check out Video game companies and look for the Lead Artist. Frozen Code Base is one in the Mid west. My son is in his last year of college getting a degree in Video game design and Production. The owner of Frozen Code Base is one of his professors.|||I believe they are contracted to create the covers.


The ones i've seen don't just do video games, they also do album covers and anywhere where digital graphics are needed.





I'm fairly sure their title is a Graphics Designer.|||Graphic designers. They are the same that design covers for cds and books, posters etc. I don't know the name of anyone who did a video game cover but if you search on the game's credits or internet page you may find something.
