Thought on the Art Institute of Pittsburgh?

I would like to know any information about this college. my major will be Video game art and design. is this a good school? is the area its located nice? any one have advice for the major i will be going for? are the teachers good?

all information from students or passed students that attended this college is appreciated! thank you!|||The Art Institute is a for-profit school, and for-profit schools do tend to carry a bad reputation. For example being very expensive, not providing a good education, and inflating grades so you'll continue.

I know of one person who went to DeVry, which is another for-profit school. He quit after a while because it was expensive, and he didn't learn anything. He ended up going to community college, then to a state university.

I know of another guy who went to another for-profit school (I can't remember which one.) and he couldn't make a living from the degree. He's now going back to school for a new major. He's up to his eyeballs in debt with that school, and it hasn't gotten him anywhere!

So, just be careful of for-profit schools, even if they're regionally accredited.

PS: I once saw a resume on a job site for a graphic design position. He claimed to be a graduate of the Art Institute, but his portfolio was terrible. It looked like that of an amateur.
