What are some good Martial art video games?

For Playstation (1 and 2), Xbox (original and 360), and online.

American and Japanese types(both)What are some good Martial art video games?
DOA4 was the best fighting game I ran into up to date. I mean it has it's share of skimpy girl, but they didn't make the game just reliant on that. they did their homework with the styles, unlike other games where they just fuse styles to make up for their lack of knowledge and call it a day, and the counter system is very well balanced. (hard enough so that you don't be come reliant on it, but easy enough to stop a person from using the some attack so many times.)
The Tekken series (PS1 and 2) are really popular, well received and beloved within the fighting game community. Many of the moves in that are emulator from actual martial arts as well there are over the tops moves (spinning electrical uppercut anyone?). Fans consider Tekken 2 ( PS1) and Tekken 5 are consider the best games of the series.

Another great fighting series is the Dead or Alive series. Kinda pathetic that some people play it for the women but it's still a great series. The best games from that series is Dead or Alive 2 and 4.

For cartoon-like fighting games, try the Street Fighter series. Recently, Street Fighters IV has came out with excellent reviews and fanfare. I really hope you heard of Street Fighters II. If not, were where you during the 90s?

UFC have their own line of video games but they do not do very well in gameplay and stuff. What are some good Martial art video games?
For weapons fighting, games like Soul Edge, Soul Blade, etc .

For ninjutsu action, the Tenchu: Stealh Assassins series,

For realistic 3-D combat, both the DOA games and the Virtua Fighter games are incredible.

I've played all of em on PS1 and PS2 .

If there's an online version of the old computer game "Budokan", that's a good one as well --very realistic 2-D martial arts game (your character can learn multiple martial arts and move up in belt-rank in each one seperately)
If you want to get away from button mashing nonsesnse, try Fight Night 3.

Sure boxing isn't a thorough martial art...heck, it is more of a sports fighting style than a martial art, but the fighting system is much more enjoyable IMHO than button mashing. What are some good Martial art video games?
1. The Warriors (the best. i HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS ONE it has street fighting with Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Kung Fu, BJJ, Boxing, Judo, mean *** ground and pound, and Wrestling)

2. Street fighter (a little unrealistic)

3. PRIDE FC (MMA game)

4. UFC game (not out yet comes out in june or july)
The best are of course:

The Tekken series

Blood Roar series

Virtual Fighter

Street Fighter

Soul Calibre

The Tekken series is definitely the best, quite the variety of martial art styles, and Bloody Roar is good for PS1.
Tekken series, Dead or alive (2, 3, and 4 :), and Virtual Fighters Series...

Bloody Roar was one of my favorites!! Haha...
Ufc is coming out with a new game soon

i'd check that out
