What type of fields are there since i wanted to major in art? or something with game art or graphic design?

my mom told me that i should major in something that would make more money but i want to do something that i enjoy( she wants me to be a vet but oh well) anyway, i will be attending a 2yr college which is gordon college next month and i am also very good at drawing anime, some design stuff, and i also like the conception of video games.
