Do you consider Video-Games art?

Do you consider Video-Games art?

Some people honestly dont for whatever reason.

I do, there thought up ideas, creative, entertaning and some cases deep meaning that stick with you.Do you consider Video-Games art?
well people have different opinions to what art is, i dont consider video games art, but i do consider it a sport.
Video games, in my opinion, are a combination of Art and Technology. It involves creativity, planning and logic to design a video game.

Let鈥檚 take an example of MMOPRG. It starts with a story and this story has plots and characters in them. The story here is the creation of game story writer. The characters in the story are transformed into images that are sketched and designed with the help of graphic artist. Finally, a game programmer designs the game based on story and its plots.

Therefore it is an art which is further refined with the help of technology.Do you consider Video-Games art?
It depends on the game.

There actually have been some fine artists whom have worked in video games as art (such as Lynn Hershman Leeson or Jane Prophet's TechnoSphere project), and when you go to a conference like Siggraph you realize the extent of artistry that goes into game design, but I don't think most games actually move beyond entertainment into art any more than most TV shows do. That said, there have been a few games that ask questions and create experiences that I would actually call art. It is not a video game, but a computer game series, but I would call the Myst games art.
No less an art form that movies or television. I'd rather sit down for 2 hours with a well written, well developed game, then watch the garbage that passes for television these days.

On a purely visual level, a game like Final Fantasy is art, period, as sharp and beautiful as anything Pixar has produced.Do you consider Video-Games art?
Only if you create them... Art is creativity...
In a way, yes,
