ok i need to know how concept art is used in games and why it is used and also some styles that are commonly used in concept art for gamesThe use of concept art in games?
concept art is used in videogames to illustrate ideas for people to work off of. concept artists will be hired to design environments, characters, buildings or machines to give the other artists something to work from. the concept artist creates the first template of how something should look. if there weren't any concept artists working on the project the other artists would have to work on description alone and with many artists working on something that hasn't been visually mapped out for them they'd all have their own personal styles added to the creation and all the styles wouldn't mesh together properly.
the styles used would depend on the game, if it's some anime style game they'd use anime but if it was more like a warhammer style game they'd use a more realistic style.
