I will be using modeling programs like 3ds max. Will the Home Edition be good enough for me? There is also the Professional and Ultimate editions, but I'd rather not have to buy those if i don't need them for what I am doing. What edition of Windows 7 should I get if I am a game art student?
Theres really not much difference between the versions, and you can do anything you want with the one version as the other, the only thing ultimate is different is that you can change languages, and a few stuff no one needs.
go windows 7 home premium, they don't call it edition anymore, professional just takes the games out of the system and calls it professional they really don't give you much more for professional or ultimate for the money they charge you its all a marketing scam. to make you think you have to have the best when they don't even really make it worth upgrading the ultimate, professional I can see for businesses but ultimate is just a waste of money. What edition of Windows 7 should I get if I am a game art student?
Hi Jessica,
Here's a helpful chart comparing the editions of Windows 7: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows鈥?/a>
I hope that helps make your decision!
