What kinds of art projects or games do kids like?

5 year old boy, sports are his life...already

3 year old girl, very girly

9 month old baby|||dumba$$|||for the 9 month baby you have to make it more like a game like with things they can't swallow. I suggest some thing more like Mr.. potato head in a younger form.

With the five and three year olds you can make some thing that they can do together like, I know this is going on a limb but like a bird house . You can nail and then they can have fun decorating and have something to be proud of that they can keep in their own backyard!|||I found this really cool game system in ToysRUs the other day. Its called VSmile. Its got a lot of game cartridges you can buy and all the games are educational...

I really liked it and my son loves it|||For the 2 older children -

1. glue projects (use Elmers or other nontoxic glue, or make a flour and water paste) - make pictures with a variety of dried beans (from kidney beans to lentils), dried pasta, etc. Also decorate "treasure boxes" - you can get empty cigar boxes with hinged lids from tobacco stores; and use them to collect stones, feathers, etc. Decorate t-shirts with glitter, "gems", etc. This does require a special glue.

2. Make "jewelry" with pasta and yarn - the hollow types of pasta that can be strung on the yarn, after being painted (uncooked!). Even boys like this - they can give the jewelry to Mom or Grandma as a gift.

3. Decorate summer flip-flop sandals with special markers.

4. For all 3 children - home made play dough - the little one may put some in his/her mouth, but as it's not toxic that's okay. Use food coloring to make a variety of colors.

5. Also, "draw" with flour, corn meal, etc., pour half a cup of flour on a cookie tray, let children spread it around and make pictures with it. Messy, but fun, and easy to clean up!

6. Water games - almost everyone likes this, you do have to supervise, though! Fill the bath tub half full with water, maybe some bubble bath, add plastic cups, toys, spray bottle, and kids! Put thick towels next to the tub to catch the water that splashes out!

7. Everyone loves to build with empty boxes - save up small cardboard/pasteboard boxes from the kitchen (oatmeal and cornmeal cylindar boxes are great) and elsewhere (like those toothpaste tubes come in, soap, etc.) and tubes from paper towels and toilet paper. Add Elmer's glue, kids, and poster paint - their imaginations are the limit. Two of my boys at about ages 9 %26amp; 10 made a model castle with a working drawbridge and portcullis from boxes.|||It's no surprise that young kids want to do things with their bosies, such as play sports or arts and crafts. Arts and crafts or some type of hands on thing will most likely suit the kids. As for the girls they can typically like huggable things such as plushies. Or maybe dolls. You can play dolls with them, they like playing with others.|||Well for the 5 year old boy you could get him 1 of those small soft footballs, basketballs, soccer balls and whatever else he likes 2 play with. For the girl, get her some dolls or one of those little playhouses. And for the little baby you don't want 2 get those toys that have little pieces because the baby might try 2 eat the pieces,so anything that doesn't have small pieces.|||you would have to get like all separate toys each age group because what the 3 year old plays with probably cant be with by the 9 month old baby.....but maybe make interments and other thing that you could vary how you make them according to age limit|||sports is a good activity for all even the 9 month old .
