I am trying to help a 14 year old in a volunteer program. There are no local programs for this age. He is very interested in learning how to design computer/video games and 3D art. Hmm.. Personally I'm more for taking classes...I'm sure you could find a private teacher...but ideally screwing around with design software and asking questions online is always a fun way to learn. Is there software to teach a teen how to design 3D art or video games?
Its pretty advanced stuff. College would be a good start but obviously he's 14! There are books that you can get that will teach you but in all fairness I would recommend some kind of tuition. I'm at University doing a graphic design degree and I still have trouble getting my head round some of the software!
